The emphasis of the Saturday morning Local Writers Group and Creative Writers Workshops is limited in scope to novels, books, and short stories.
Creative Screenwriters Workshop
For those primarily interested in screenwriting, a companion “Creative Screenwriters Workshop” meets on Sunday afternoons and features the same core values as its Saturday namesake. The weekly Screenwriters Workshop is conducted at the same private residence in Redondo Beach (currently 1:30-3:30pm) and requires an RSVP.
South Bay Screenwriters
“South Bay Screenwriters” is a separate meet-up (distinct from the South Bay Creative Writers Group) whose members share and provide feedback on each other’s screenplays.
The format is similar to the Creative Screenwriters Workshop.
Conducted weekly on Wednesdays, 7:00-9:30pm, adjacent to the South Bay Galleria. The meeting location alternates between Coco’s on Hawthorne Blvd (1st & 3rd Wednesdays) and Total Wine & More (2nd & 4th Wednesdays). Requires a separate RSVP.
Screenwriters are welcome to join and participate in both meet-up groups.
